Finally, On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Mother Ganga will be opened on May 3 at 11.15 am. Devotees from all over the country and abroad will be able to have darshan of Mother Ganga in Gangotri Dham for six months. The district administration has bee doing a lot of preparations for the yatra. Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan took a meeting of officers and employees regarding the yatra. It was told in the press conference at Lok Nirman Bhavan that the first priority will be given special attention in this time's travel arrangements. Efforts will be made to improve the health systems in the district. Instructions have been given to make arrangements for electricity, water, roads and health in Gangotri Dham. There will be no negligence of any kind regarding the journey. Instructions have been given to take important steps to improve the parking system in the district headquarters. All thanks to the government who has been making lot of efforts to improve and to serve better to all the devotees.
