Rajasthan – A Travel Diary for all

Rajasthan a Royal journey to the land of desert. India a unique country one side its having grand Himalaya one the other Thar desert. Rajasthan is the state that covers the desert and the wonder of the state is something that every traveller get mesmerised with. Each district of the state with their unique cultural 5 Nights 6 Days Rajasthan Tour Package is a trip that ensures a Royal treat for everyone. The journey takes you the different states of the world that can simply transform your ideas for India and its heritage.

But when you travel through Rajasthan, there is much more to do than just see the major tourist attractions like those already mentioned. The journey through Rajasthan has many contradictions — hot and cold, expensive and inexpensive, hot and cold at the same time, and with historic royal life plus daily life of locals.

The contrast that Rajasthan shows every moment to a traveller is like the joy of exploration. The hot that Desert, cold mount Abu, serene lakes, Forts and obviously street foods complete a package that you can never experience anywhere else than this trip of magnificence.
Each city you visit in Rajasthan gives you something to add to your travel experience that stays in your heart for ever. The journey to each city unfolds a new story and tells you a new heritage uncovering a new panorama in front of you. Their own existence of purity and holding the culture like a daily chore makes it more special to uncover each city.

1. Rajasthan to First Time Visitors Garishly Colourful

Rajasthan is a predominantly desert state, yet there is an abundance of vibrant colour throughout the region. Every street is filled with bright colours; whether you look at colourful turbans and sarees worn on people, homes having been painted/decorated in various colours, and truck drivers who decorate their vehicles with unique designs, or lively markets – many cities offer dedicated colours. This is the uniqueness of travel diary of Rajasthan for every traveller. They cover your mind and heart with joy of brightness covering the heat of Thar for you.

This example provides a brief description of three well-known locations and their colours. Some people may find it difficult when moving here from outside of India due to how hectic things are in Indian cities, especially Jaipur where it's known as the 'Pink City', and Jaisalmer as the 'Golden City' and Jodhpur being referred to as 'The Blue City'. They defined with their colours. Yet it should always kept in mind that pink city does not define every home of the city to be coloured pink or blue city does not mean every household has blue as their theme colour. They are so different as they define. Like Jaisalmer is called the Golden city due to the Golden coloured marble available here.

The marketplace is extremely loud, and the streets are filled with people. Despite the fact that this is one of the world's greatest shopping districts, it still maintains its daily living and character, unlike many other touristy locations which only have generic and polished/ manufactured characteristics. Here you will find an exception- the products that you buy are actually not heritage they are also being used by locals every day presenting in front of you a bright presentation carrying their heritage. Like the turban or bandhni or glass motif is like a regular wear for them.
The daily living and activities that visitors will experience in Rajasthan will provide them with an authentic experience as there are no performing acts for tourists to see; instead, visitors will see daily living activities such as local artisans using hand tools, families purchasing their meals from street vendors at the marketplace, groups of friends meeting to drink chai together or play near historically significant structures that have stood for hundreds of years. This is where you actually live in heritage and not visit them in the museums that makes 6 Nights 7 Days Rajasthan Tour Package  a real royal journey not of forts and marvellous royal villas but an actual journey with real people exploring the same. Like the turban is a regular thing for a Rajasthani man.

2. The Royal Way to Start Your Journey – Jaipur

Jaipur has its own cultural heritage to represent in front of you. It is unique in its own way. Makes one enjoy the colourful tapestry of beautiful Royals with the daily hustles in the streets of the locals who are also a perfect representation of the contrast with the Royals. They are not artificial they are connected to earth representing the real India a mix or heritage and modernity that is progressing not leaving their past behind but taking it forward in the best possible way.  Our Jaipur Pink City Tour is a perfect example of how you should explore Jaipur.

The Amer Fort is one of the many places you cannot miss when visiting Jaipur, this great fort is built upon top of a hill and offers beautiful courtyards, incredible vistas and extensive graveyard mirror work. Considered to be one of the must visits during the trip you cannot simply ignore its beauty without exploring it.

The Amer Fort is a large fort that is located high up on a rocky hill from which you get great views of the area around it. There are multiple large open-air courtyards inside as well as walls covered in ornate mirror work. The fort was built as a palace for the Rajput Rulers to enjoy their aristocratic lifestyles.

The Hawa Mahal and City Palace are examples of the magnificent royal architecture found within Rajasthan. Hawa Mahal is the perfect blend of Muslim architecture with Rajput style of architecture.  Jaipur is a city full of historical buildings, but it has much more than just these types of structures - there are also countless bazaars (marketplaces) throughout the city that are a must-see and put some foreigners as gift for your family and friends.

The streets of Jaipur are filled with stores that sell jewellery, fabrics, block-printed fabric, handmade shoes, clay pots, and handicrafts from local artisans. Each marketplace will allow you to bargain with merchants therefore it would require a good amount of time to go through all of them! Ensure to take the joy of their work as also make sure you don’t miss those as they are true Rajasthan.
The food aspect of Jaipur will also contribute greatly to your overall experience while visiting as you will find many vendors selling kachoris (fried pastry with a spicy filling), samosas, sweets and lassi (a sweet, cold yogurt drink) to tourists and locals alike. The flavours produced by these vendors are very rich and spicy compared to the "normal" restaurant type foods you will find in other locations across the country.

3. Journey Through Rajasthan

The routes which link cities in Rajasthan are some of the most fascinating parts of travelling there! The roads meander through deserts, farmlands, hills and wide-open spaces.

As you travel on the highways, you’ll often see camels loaded with goods, colourful dressed women, portable tea shops (a very CRT-compatible sight!), lots of little villages in dry areas. Rajasthan offers such a distinctive way to travel by train; each Indian railway station is filled with hustle & bustle — giving you a real sense of local culture & life.

The scenery will change drastically in some areas every few minutes while-on-the-train, so you're sure-to-have an excellent time overall! The on-Road jour of Rajas than is a total unexpected journey to the world of balanced royal forts being visible with sand dunes going by your side and golden camels walking with you. The peacock is also commonly seen in the journey.

4. Jodhpur: Famous as Blue City

Jodhpur is much sought after due to its beauty. Many blue painted houses dot the landscape below the vast Mehrangarh Fort, which towers over Jodhpur and is believed to be one of the largest forts in India.

Visitors to Jodhpur are offered an outstanding view of Jodhpur from the top of Mehrangarh Fort. Jodhpur's wonderful blue buildings at "dawn and dusk" provide a dramatic contrast of colour when compared with the stark dry terrain of its surrounding desert.
Jaipur's metropolitan ambience is similar to Jodhpur; however, Jodhpur has an additional inviting atmosphere. The Old Town has many narrow streets with shops selling spices, restaurants, craft shops run by local artisans and traditional houses. Many visitors experience the greatest enjoyment through wandering these streets without any particular destination.

People also enjoy the food in Jodhpur. Snacks such as mirchi vada, mawa kachori and thalis are a popular item from Rajasthan’s vast menu. Every check point that you visit in your Rajasthan trip will add a new flavour to your tongue and ensure a complete journey of spices completed by the end of the journey.

As it gets dark and city light starts to bloom beneath the great fort walls, it appears very cinematic. A walk along these will help you understand the nature and its pure aroma within.

5. Jaisalmer: The Golden City and the Soul of Rajasthan’s Desert Life

Jaisalmer, the Golden city of Rajasthan is the place where the golden marbles are found. A total different panorama to hold up in front of you this city tales a different story altogether like other cities of he state.

To add to that is that the roads and everything else are also built of yellow sandstone, creating an overall effect of warm light reflecting on the city. Jaisalmer Fort is quite different from all others in India, mostly since Jaisalmer city remains inhabited. Across the whole fort, you will see residents doing business, shopping, and even making her small car run.

Walking around the maze of tiny streets, Jaisalmer almost feels more like a city of people than a silent monument. What most travellers come here for is desert life though. The camel Safaris took us miles away, out into the sand dunes at the edge of town where it was totally silent with the horizon extending for miles and miles.

Watching the sunset from over those dunes had to be the most relaxing thing we did in Jaipur Jaisalmer Package trip. At night time later in the evening the desert camps provide folk music and traditional dances.

6. Udaipur: Rajasthan's Peaceful Side

All that travelling had taken its toll and I was glad to find somewhere chilled when I arrived in Udaipur - The City of Lakes. It is set in the hills around the water and is encircled with lakes and palaces and mostly white buildings so is unlike Jaisalmer or Jodhpur.
Other than this Lake

the artificial fresh water lake also marks a beautiful panorama for the visitors. It is named so after the nearby Pichola village. the beauty of the lake is simply mesmerizing. Being considered to be located in the heat of the city this place is a wonder to be in. don’t miss it for sure from your travel itinerary.

It seemed so much more mellow and cool here than elsewhere in Rajasthan which was so much more frantic. The calmness of the place simply transforms a breeze of happiness in its visitors without whispering a single word.

7. The Food Experience in Rajasthan

Food carries high value in knowing any place
Food has a major impact when travelling around Rajasthan. The food is based on the pre-food needs in the desert, where all ingredients had to endure a hot climate and very little water. Many dishes are made strong, spicy and farsighted.

The most famous must be Dal Baati Churma. Baati is a baked wheat ball with lentils and churma, a sweet mixture. The Rajasthani Lal Mass is obviously the one that can charm you most with its aroma and obviously soft cooked mutton.

There are also many vegetarian people in Rajasthan for whom the options are just as great. Gatta ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri and all sorts of dal (lentil) dishes are served up all over the place. Add in all the city based very local specialties, street food soon takes up a huge portion of your diet.
For the tired traveller, little roadside Dhaba’s serving lots of flavoursome traditional home cooked food can be an order of magnitude better, even than expensive restaurants, and small towns have them in buckets. Ditto is true of Rajasthan. Chais and gariras are to be found on most street corners and one stops (or is stopped) for tea when traveling through the state.

8. The Markets and Shopping Culture

Shopping here is more fun than a task. The markets here are alive, full of rush, charming and loaded with wonderful hand- made products and amazing local paintings. Rajasthan's famous items include Jewellery, Gem stones, traditional cloth such as block-printed stuffs, silver Jewellery. They all have their uniqueness that makes them special and must have for sure. They are like once in a while wear for you but regular wear for many Rajasthani people till date.

Jodhpur has homewares, crafts and leather items. In Jaisalmer's markets, you can find embroidery, mirror-work and smocks, souvenirs from the desert area, as also the golden marble utensils also will catch you eyes here.

Bargaining is often part and parcel of shopping at local markets, Most of all those catering to tourists. For many travellers, bargaining for prices is half the fun of shopping. This will make you mix with locals and enjoy the market more.

Shopping in Rajasthan also encourages local craftsmen to keep their centuries' old traditions alive. In particular for those travellers who do not want to spend much money on shopping, walking in the bazaars is very enjoyable.

9. The People and Local Culture

An indelible sign of travelling around Rajasthan is meeting people. Rajasthani people are informal and welcoming. Most people are happy to speak to you and swap tales, suggest where to go and eat or explain about local customs.

Hotel and restaurant owners, shopkeepers, guides and drivers can often be a real part of the trip because they can tell you things the guidebooks can't; Rajasthan is still alive with the old culture. Every day there is folk music, puppet shows, dance shows, local festivals, etc.
which people still enjoy. The music using instruments like sarangi and dhol enhances the sound of desert and Queens Palace history.

Close to the villages also present a completely different world from the main tourist cities. These are till date the main holdings for the Rajasthani culture and visiting them is a must to know the Rajasthani culture. The best is to stay in some rural place for some days and enjoy their local culture and you will feel like the essence of real Rajasthan is in you to carry back.

10. The Challenges

Getting around Rajasthan itself can sometimes be an adventure - and tiring. Long distance, roasting temperatures and the rush to visit busy, tourist packed places can take it out of you.

The summer is mainly hot and for many areas the temperatures are over 40 degrees Celsius. But its dry and not humid. So its not that disturbing yet carrying water and having lien or cotton cloth can give you some break.
Visitors traditionally think that winter is the best time for their visit thanks to In reality the weather is cooler. The crowds at the popular sight too can be a nightmare in Peak season.

Jaipur and Udaipur for example, see a huge footfall during holiday and festival seasons. The other problem is keeping comfort and sincerity balanced. Luxury heritage hotels are providing amazing experiences.

Still, most of the travellers want their interaction with the local culture not in the special areas meant for tourists. Rajasthan is ideal when the tourists stay relaxed and receptive to comforts and surprises.

11. Rajasthan After Sunset

Rajasthan transforms into something entirely different when it gets dark. Cities are vibrant, bustling, loud and lively in the day when their aura slightly diminishes at night. Yet many areas come alive and enhance their feel after the sun goes down.

Roof-top restaurants are places where tourists will sit, relaxed and shell, all evening.

Night markets, cultural shows and shows of traditional music create a lively night scene in Rajasthan, far removed from modern day clubs and pubs. The emphasis is on culture discussion, food and overall ambiance. To know a state rightly you need to explore it all.

12. Why Rajasthan Feels Different From Other Destinations

In Rajasthan it is not monuments or landscape that fascinates you but it is how history is still connected with the present life. The old forts that stand as a ruin are still at the centre overlooking lively cities. The age-old music, if played not for tourists, still remains in the families. The markets that work as they were done a few years back.

Rajasthan is an emotional place to move around in simply because it leaves vivid frames in people's memories. The different shades, rhythms, aromas, mosaics, Sahara winds and heaving marketplaces continue to hover in every one's mind even after the journey is over.
Some go crazy about its royal history, and some people simply love its desert environment and courtesies of local people.

13. A Land of colours, Contrasts, and Timeless Experiences

Rajasthan is a state of marvellous contrast which is the single most reason that makes traveling in this state interesting. Whatever it is inconveniences, the hardships, the kind of things which make Rajasthan different in a way.

India is a magnificent combination of scenery, history and culture, chaos and tranquillity, thrill and serenity all existing at a time. The current city of pink is Jaipur. The blue city, Jodhpur. The Desert City, Jaisalmer.

Or the lakes of Udaipur. Everything is different here. Rajasthan always fascinates the traveller with its differences and energy of each place. More than a destination of tourism, Rajasthan is a total experience that gets completely around you. It is a country where the life of the splendid Western cities, cohabits with living history and where tradition forms itself spontaneously. So don’t delay book the trip today and enjoy the natural colourful Royal Rajasthan Tour Package  and earthy locals in the state.
