Pilgrims even cook rice and potato wrapped in cloth in the nearby by Tapt Kund to prepare prasad for maa Yamuna and then take that to their house. Even the Pavitra Shila nearby that is said to be the first point where Maa Yamna touched earth is prayed. The shine contains a black idol of Maa Yamuna that is prayed. 

Gangotri: Gangotri is the place where Maa Ganga the most pious river for Indians touched the Earth from the Locks of Lord Shiva. Here it is called Bhagirathi, named after King Bhagirath whose penance melted the heart of Lord Shiva to allow Ganga to come on Earth. A nearby Shila called Bhagirath Shila is also prayed by pilgrims here. The original source of Ganga is Gaumukh Glacier sited high above the hills and also visited by many by trekking from Gangotri. Gangotri is the name for pure divinity. A dip in the water of Ganges has the power to wash off all your sins of life. Ganga is simply not a river but the name of a civilization in India. Prayed as a goddess she is considered to be the source of purity and divinity and also clears the way towards salvation by cleaning your soul from the sins. 

Kedarnath: Kedarnath is the Dham for Lord Shiva here he is Swayambhu or self-manifested. The hump shaped rock here is called the hump of Lord Shiva who hid himself from the Pandavas. The presence of Lord Shiva in the wild Himalayas and with the majestic natural ambience creates it to be the most magnetic Dham among the Char Dham yatra. Here he is the Lord of the Marshy Ground, who was visited by the Pandavas to seek blessings and mercy from the sins that they accumulated in the Kurukshetra war. The same way lakhs of humans come here to get rid of the sins they accumulate knowingly or unknowingly during their lifetime. 

Badrinath: This is the abode of Lord Vishnu. He is prayed here in the meditative from. Here he prayed under a Badri tree making the place name after this Badri Tree “Badrinath”. The Badri tree is said to be the disguised form of Maa Lakshmi who stood in the form of a tree to provide shade to Lord Vishu. Lord Vishu Considered to be the main deity for Life and Death in Kaliyuga is waiting in his Meditative form here to provide you Mukti from the cycle of life and death and merge with the ultimate Divine power. 

These four Dham’s together is called the Char Dham or abodes of God that are anti-clock wise covered by the pilgrims to get to salvation of the soul.
