Yamunotri:  This is the starting point of the journey. Yamunotri is the first Dham of the pious Journey. It is the spiritual beginning of your self. It is situated in the deep Himalayas of Gharwal, Uttrakhand. It is a place of immense reverence and holy beginning. The ambience of Yamunotri is extremely serene. Silence is the dominant factor at Yamunotri. It is in this silence that one can actually listen to the whispers of one's own soul. One is surrounded by majestic mountains and unspoiled nature. One has no other choice but to look within. The holy hot springs and the ancient temple turn into places of silent surrender, where not only the offerings are made with hands but with heart too. Well, it is also believed that Goddess Yamuna safeguards her followers from untimely death. And also blesses them with health, power, and happiness. Our pilgrims and followers feel an immense sense of achievement in cleansing their souls by visiting us. Most of the devotees, at the point where the river is said to originate, feel a sense of cleansing as if the impurities are being washed away by the gentle flow of the river. This is where the yatra is said to begin, not on the roads but in the hearts.

Gangotri:  This place is connected to the heart of the devotees with immense history and sacredness. The crispness of the mountain air, the purity of the river water, and the simplicity of life naturally and automatically lead the heart of the devotees towards surrendering to the divine being. Also, Gangotri is the birth place of river Ganga. It is an emotional experience to find the place of Gangotri. It is an experience that has been felt by the devotees, an inexplicable sense of comfort and compassion, as if being hugged by a divine mother. 
It is also believed that Mother Ganga washes away the karmas of the devotees and instills humility, love, and devotion within them. Kedarnath: As we proceed further, from Gangotri to Kedarnath, the devotees and seekers feel a sense of connection with the  divine being. Kedarnath is located at the higher snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas with silence. Kedarnath is not just a mountain destination; but  is a soul-cleaning and awakening experience. Being one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, this holy land emits energy that is too intense and cannot be described or put into words. However, the experience can only be felt. The journey to Kedarnath is itself a form of devotion. Every step you take is a test of the body and a booster for the spirit. The rugged terrain, the thinning atmosphere, and the deafening silence of the mountains seem to envelop the pilgrims in a gentle manner, as if removing all their worldly inhibitions. As the travellers move ahead,  the lighter their ego, their heart becomes quieter, and the spirit becomes stronger. Pilgrims have often found that the journey itself begins to change the pilgrims even before they reach the shrine. Here, faith is the first and the foremost. It is very firmly believed that Lord Shiva, not only is worshipped here, but himself is experienced here too. At the shrine of Kedarnath, the devotees do not come to seek anything, but offer everything that they are carrying within themselves. The burden of the past is shed, and the heart is filled with the feeling of peace. The mountains are the epitome of the stillness that slowly begins to emerge within the devotee.

Badrinath:  And now, it is the final destination of the Holy Char Dham Yatra. It is Badrinath. It is believed that it is the final stage in the quest for the divine, in the quest to find the answer. It is situated between the sacred ranges of Nar and Narayan Mountains. It is Badrinath, which welcomes its guests with the divine energy of serenity, harmony, and balance. It is the holy abode of Lord Vishnu. And as the seekers, the pilgrims, and the sages enter this sacred land, they experience the complete sense of fullness and wholesomeness of life. This trip ultimately leads you to your spiritual,  physical or emotional healing. Maybe once you were restless but after this trip it's filled with calm and peace. The heart is at peace and no longer looks for anything. The soul, after going through the purification, devotion, and surrender process, attains equilibrium. The whole atmosphere here is so serene. Time seems to slow down as the mind’s thoughts are made to slow down and the heart is made to calm down.
