Every dham plays an equally important role, whereby, moving from one dham to another makes people realize themselves and start a new life. Each Dham has spiritual energy which helps devotees in spiritual cleansing. Such as:
Yamunotri, It is the birth place of the River Yamuna. Did you know, it is also considered as the spiritual birthplace of the Char Dham's pilgrimage route. Also known as the Holy abode of goddess Yamuna. This place is located in the serene Himalayan valley. The key significance of Temple here is the liberation from untimely death. One can even witness the hot spring nearby, where devotees offer Prasad, and the whole area emanates the fragrance of Holiness.
Gangotri, it is the birthplace of the River Ganga, who is also known as Mother Ganga, famously. Did you know that, River Ganga is regarded as the lifeline of mankind. Gangotri is situated amidst enchanting Himalayan terrain, and is also the abode of spiritual kindness, Holiness, and sins forgiveness. It is widely believed that the river Ganga purifies the sins of mankind.
Kedarnath, well revered locations known for one the twelve jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most important, sacred and perhaps the most spiritually soul-stirring Dham on the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. Not only the view, but the Kedarnath shrine itself holds historical significance. According to mythology, the old temple is spiritually changing and its very presence exudes holiness. Every seeker comes here with the intention to seek strength, salvation and spiritual liberation. It can be quite an overwhelming experience, but transformative. Also, another unique factor is the burning of the Akhand Jyoti for more than six months during the winter scene when there are no humans around and everything is submerged in snow. You can see the starry skies above the glacial valleys. The morning aarti just before sunrise when the golden rays of the sun kiss the Kedarnath peak through the open doors of the temple. This is what makes this Dham so unique.
Badrinath, it is the last Dham amongst the four Dham. This Dham, symbolizes the holy abode of Lord Vishnu, who is known as the preserver of the universe. It is located on the banks of River Alaknanada. This Dham is surrounded by a massive Neelkanth peak. We highly recommend, before you enter the holy shrine you have to take a holy dip in Taptkund, the natural hot spring. . Taking a dip in holy water will cleanse both your body and soul. It’s a fulfilling experience visiting Darshan of Lord Badri Narayan.
And after a great spiritual experience in chat Dham, now you will move forward to one of the most sacred treks. Namely, Gaumukh trek it is one of the most enthralling treks. According to old mythologies, it is believed that here King Bhagirath performed a thousand years of meditation to summon Goddess Ganga from the heavens.. Gaumukh is the birth place of the River Ganga. Onwards lies the path through Chirbasa, which is known for its chir pine trees that fill the atmosphere with their characteristic resin scent. And we highly suggest that you must take Gangajal with you as a mark of respect as well as remembrance. According to research and scientific reports, Gangajal contains special qualities to combat bacteria. Special kinds of viruses such as bacteriophages are found here in Gangajal which helps Gangajal to remain fresh for a longer period of time. It cannot be found in any other river. In order to reach Gaumukh, you have to make a trek of about 19 kilometers going through the Gangotri National Park where you will come across lots of birch trees along with crossing several moraines. First you will visit Bhojbasa at 3,775m. From here you will get an undivided view of the summit of Shivling during sunsets. Then, you will finally reach Gaumukh at 4,023 meters, where the Bhagirathi originates from the glacier lake shaped like the mouth of a cow. Well, this is just a brief. Words cannot explain the true feelings, unless you yourself experience it.
