Considered to be highly pious Ganga is prayed here as Bhagirathi, named after king Bhagirath who prayed her appearance for the betterment of human civilization. Kedarnath: Kedarnath, located in 3583 m height in Garhwal Himalayas, is an 8th century shrine dedicated to lord Shiva. It signifies the ultimate liberation, resilience and accompanies the breathtaking beauty of peaks like Kedar Dome. Here Lord Shiva is considered as Swayambhu means appearing by himself and not manifested by humans. His presence here is for spiritual liberation and salvation. Badrinath Dham: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu this is said to be the Dham where He manifested to save the human kind from the cycle of life and death.
