Overview

Are you tired of your everyday schedule? It must have been so monotonous. We all are living in a fast paced world, where deadlines and challenges are overpacked schedules are so normal. Sitting in one room is so normal these days, with no physical or spiritual movement. But, eventually there comes a time when you crave for some peace and quietness. A moment of silence and a need for  spiritual awakening, for oneself. That’s why understanding our devotees and pilgrims we have come up with Do Dham Yatra the same day by helicopter package.

That is why, you need to take some time off for your own self healing and you should take holy journeys that are taken for practical reasons, while some are a journey to a greater disconnect than just being physically distanced. This Do Dham Yatra, represents the type of journey as it has been set within the high and sacred Himalayas. It filled the devotees with the spirit of enlightenment and awakening. Not only is it an awakening of the spirit, through the sounds, sights, and stories of the mountains, the ringing of temple bells. But actually it is the voice and prayers of the millions of people who have made this pilgrimage over the course of many years.

Seekers, sages, devotees from all across the globe revere the Do Dham pilgrimage. the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple as a deeply blessed encounter during human life. Did you know, in the old days devotees used to travel by foist for many days over high altitude Himalayan mountains, crossing difficult rough patches, over steep mountain roads, enduring  unpredictable climate conditions and experiencing challenging treks in order to witness Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Now, as the time has changed, things have developed a lot now.  With the changing times and the advent of aviation, however, the journey to the shrines is more seamless and luxurious, as well as a more emotionally fulfilling spiritual experience, through the Do Dham Helicopter Yatra.

If you start your day with the chill of Dehradun as an early morning breeze and hop into a helicopter at sunrise while the rays first touch the snowy mountains, by the time you get into the air, the major cities will have been swallowed up by the clouds, and you will see an ever-changing series of stunning landscapes including spectacular white mountains, green valleys, sacred rivers, and ancient temples all over the landscape. The journey itself provides a unique way of meditating as you fly through the sky. Every time you turn in the air, it will remind you the presence of God is always there, and therefore surrounding your soul.Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter was created for those making the pilgrimage to this area that desire both spiritual experiences and comfortable conditions. Senior citizens, families, busy professionals, worldwide passengers, and any devotee wishing to travel this area of India can safely enjoy the holy experience of the Char Dham locations all inside a short window. As a result, pilgrims can now receive the benefit of having a VIP darshan in a short time frame, avoiding the arduous journey on a road, along with the almost impossible to obtain view of the Garhwal Mountain Range from an aerial location.

In addition to the ease of this yatra, what makes this journey so amazing is the depth of emotion connected to each experience. As the helicopter ascends past large rivers such as the Alakananda & Mandakini, an individual begins to understand why yogis have been practicing their meditations in these mountains. The quietness of the Himalayas tells a different story. It brings peace to thought processes. It provides comfort to anyone who sees it. It teaches the pilgram, faith is not a race, however, faith needs to be given.

For many pilgrims the journey to Kedarnath is an emotional experience. The temple at Kedarnath is a sacred shrine to Lord Shiva (one of twelve Jyotirlingas), the temple is also amongst India's most sacred places of worship. The temple's location in dramatic snow peaks and amongst ancient stone buildings provides added strength and resilience for the temple against time, storms, and centuries of devotion. The continuing strength of the temple after the devastation of the floods in 2013, has continued to provide strong evidence to those who have faith, that Kedarnath continues to protect itself by divine energy.

Badrinath is an oasis of peace and beauty and is honouring Lord Vishnu. This holy place is located in the mountains of Nar and Narayan and has the impressive Neelkanth Peak in the background. The peaceful atmosphere of Badrinath is created by the colourful temple building, the sounds of Vedic chanting and the sacred Tapt Kund.

Using a helicopter yatra makes it possible to reach all of these holy locations without extreme physical effort so that one can concentrate on one's prayer, reflection, appreciation and connection with God. Instead of travelling for hours over the mountain roads, pilgrims can spend the same amount of time taking in and appreciating the splendour and divinity of the Himalayas.
The transitions between opulence and poverty, exemplified by how we travel to the holy site of Badrinath and Kedarnath by luxury helicopter from nearby airports and then how we leave our shoes behind as we approach these sacred places. There is something very special about this juxtaposition: one minute, you're comfortably sitting at a great height in a helicopter above the clouds, and one minute, you're standing barefoot on the ground in front of ancient deities that have been worshipped by millions for centuries.

Many younger travelers are now choosing to participate in the Do Dham Yatra Pilgrimage by helicopter because they want to create unforgettable lasting memories that come from experiences that cannot be captured by traditional tourism; for example, the feeling of excitement can be diminished once you arrive in India to see a famous cathedral or temple, however, you have an opportunity to remember what you experienced on this journey through your hearts and souls by having the opportunity to share your experiences through quiet prayers, tears of happiness, chat with others who are participating in the same pilgrimage, and feel the "peace" that can only be found in a sacred space.

The helicopter ride through Uttarakhand alone is not only one of the highlights of your trip, but also one of the most memorable as you will see beautiful waterfalls, glacier-fed rivers, green Alpine forests and small villages that are completely free from modern distractions. The mountains in the early morning hours are a magnificent golden colour and when viewed at sunset they are pink and silver in colour. You almost forget about the fact that you are on your way to some pristine place and start to feel like you are experiencing a divine aerial tour through the land of heaven.

Did you know that Kedarnath was named for Kedar, a name of Lord Shiva which means "field of liberation"? Badrinath refers to the abundance of wild berries that used to be in the region; Goddess Lakshmi also protected Lord Vishnu while meditating by transforming into a Badri (wild berry) tree.

The Do Dham Yatra is not just about making the temple pilgrimage; it is about finding silence in a world filled with noise. It is about creating time to feel gratitude. It is about gaining an understanding of the connection we have with each other, the environment, and God once we have finished working towards completing our daily tasks which have deadlines, schedules, etc.

Highlights

A Divine journey through Himalayas

This incredible opportunity to see the beauty of the Himalayas from above during the Do Dham Helicopter Yatra is perhaps the most unique aspect of this pilgrimage. Unlike traveling on the ground, one can expect to have an aerial view of the deep valleys, flowing rivers, streams fed by the glaciers, dense forests of pine trees, and magnificent snow capped mountains that make up this beautiful region. The experience of this journey in the air creates a sense of awe and a peace that brings calmness to your spirit. Every few minutes, there is a major transition in scenery, green valleys become rugged mountains with ridges and ancient villages hidden away in nature. Many have described the helicopter ride as surreal and very dreamlike, providing one of the few opportunities to see the beauty of Uttarakhand from this vantage point.

VIP Darshan Experience

Helicopter yatra offers one of the most exciting positives of temple access – priority access to the main temple area. This allows pilgrims to avoid long waits and have a more organized experience for darshan.  For both elderly devotees, families travelling with children and anyone without enough time or ability to walk long distances, this convenience is very significant. Instead of expending energy on navigating through crowds and challenging routes, pilgrims can concentrate solely on prayer and devotions.  The tranquility of entering the holy temple grounds in an orderly fashion increases the overall spiritual experience for the pilgrim as well.

Kedarnath, the home of lord shiva

The Kedarnath pilgrimage site has more power in terms of emotion and spirituality than any other place in India. At 11,700 feet or more above sea level, it is situated high among the Himalayas, being one of the most beautiful spiritual locations on the planet.

Legend has it that this temple was originally built by the Pandavas and then restored by Adi Shankaracharya during the 8th century. Ancient stone work, extreme cold winds at high elevations, and the chanting of 'Har Har Mahadev' combine to create an indescribable atmosphere at the Kedarnath Temple. Many pilgrims are moved to tears when they see the temple for the first time because of the duality of their journey to Kedarnath; it represents both their physical arrival and their spiritual surrender at the feet of their lord.

Badrinath, the love of divine

While the intensity and power of Kedarnath can be felt, one experiences only tranquility and grace at Badrinath. The Temple of Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and thus, its radiance embodies warmth, tranquility, and dedication.

With such beautiful architecture of the temple, a beautiful flowing river Alaknanda, the hot springs nearby, and the majestically high peak of Neelkanth, the entire area surrounding the temple is filled with a tremendous sense of tranquillity. Many pilgrims spend time quietly sitting in the area around the temple and soaking in the holiness of the surroundings.
Badrinath is one of the 108 Divya Desams (the holiest of all Vishnu temples) of Vaishnavism.

Now, individuals who have never been able to do such a physically challenging mountain trip would be able to continue to pursue their dreams of pilgrimage through this helicopter service.
Individuals like senior citizens who previously thought it was impossible to visit the Char Dham physically can now go ahead and make one of their spiritual dreams come true.
Individuals can enjoy traveling together as families, feel secure completing the pilgrimage, and continue to have ample opportunities to fulfill their life's spiritual goals.
Many devotees believe that the fact that they can now make a pilgrimage is also a blessing to them.
Pilgrims will enjoy the highest level of hospitality while still maintaining a connection to the spiritual practices they are used to observing.

All aspects of this helicopter yatra service have been developed to reduce anxiety and provide a greater level of peace of mind for all pilgrims, from the transitional arrangements and scheduling to the accommodations and food provided to the pilgrims.
At  the same time, the simple temple rituals and the simplicity of life high in the mountains have served to remind the pilgrims of the true reason for their pilgrimage.

Arrival in Dehradun, the Gateway to the Himalayas

Dehradun, your pilgrimage begins.  Dehradun is filled with nature, historic spiritual connections and the gateway to holiness. When  you are here, we recommend that you visit some ancient temples, renowned educational institutions, and training centers. Dehradun has been recorded  in the holy hindu scriptures too in Ramayana and Mahabharta. There is mythological history related to the sage Drona, who trained the Pandavas at his ashram here and that's how the valley received its name Drona's Doon. as you walk down the lanes of Dehradun, you will be able to witness the unique point of the city, that is the preserved traditions with  modern touch.  Lets say, just for an example sage’s forest retreat or colonial infrastructure and much more.  It has been beautiful no matter what name it has been called or what purpose it served, Dehradun has been beautiful throughout its entire history.
And, Dehradun is the home to one of the ancient temples, named as Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple. This temple is inside a cave where a natural spring falls on a naturally created Shivalinga dating back before any records have been kept. Many devotees and pilgrims have shared that this is the best place to start the holy journey that is by offering prayers.

Early morning departure from Sahastradhara Helipad
Today you will be moving to Shastradhara Helipad at the break of dawn. Dehradun is quite silent at that time. You will be served a light breakfast by our team and you will be moved to travelling towards the Shastradhara Helipad. You will drive through the panch prayags namely Devprayag where Bhagirathi meets Alaknanda, then  Rudraprayag where Alaknanda meets Mandakini. From Siri helipad it's just a 15-20 minutes flying time to the Kedarnath shrine. Also, it is one of the shortest distances from the shrine that is just 500 meters walking distance from the helipad to the kedarnath shrine. Once you reach, offer your prayers at the inner sanctum, have a time of worship and self reflection. Once you are self satisfied with offerings. As soon as you land, you will see the Chorabari Glacier. Also, the three major peaks Kedar Dome, Kedarnath and Chaukhamba. And when you look down, you will be mesmerised to see the Mandakini river. The temple is ancient but small compared to the peaks, yet present before you because they surround you with their presence on either side of you as you stand there waiting for someone to guide you into the temple. You will see Kedarnath and the Kedar Dome, two of the highest mountains in India. On the left and right you will see the snow capped himalayan peaks in golden shade at dawn. And when you enter the winner sanctum of the holy shrine, you will see thousands of illuminated lamps. And the sacred Kedarnath Jyotirlinga, the stone embodiment of God's presence. Which was actually discovered by the Pandavas  and restored here by Adi Shankaracharya, and has had pilgrims pressing their foreheads and palms against it with the most private prayers for over a thousand years.

Kedarnath to Badrinath
You will be flying to Badrinath right after you offer prayers at Kedarnath. As soon as you board your flight, and fly higher You will start seeing the Garhwal Ranges and into the Alaknanda Valley. It creates a magical and a very different aerial experience  as compared to what you previously enjoyed when flying into Kedarnath. The view from above is scintillating and awe-inspiring, as the Alaknanda Valley reveals itself below the helicopter and the mountains continue to increase in height and beauty. The Neelkanth Peak also known as Garhwal Queen rises 6,596 metres and is always blanketed by snow. And Amidst all these stunning views you will reach the Badrinath Temple which shines bright with red, green, and gold colours against the stark grey and white of the surrounding mountain peaks. As you reach the helipad the minimum distance you need to walk is just 500 meters. Here as soon as you reach, we recommend you to visit and take a dip in Tapt kind before you enter the shrine.
Tapt kind is the natural hot spring at the bottom of the Badrinath Temple Complex. It flows with warm natural flowing water at approximately 45°C, regardless of how cold it gets at this high altitude. And there is a belief that this spring was blessed by Lord Agni, the god of fire.
Where Kedarnath is barren and austere; Badrinath is colourful and vibrant. Where Kedarnath overwhelms; Badrinath embraces and welcomes you. The idol at the Badrinath Temple is believed to be Swayambhu which means self-manifested. Meaning, it is not hand made or man made.  Did you know that the, black Shaligram stone by which Lord Badrinarayan idol is made,  is only found in the Gandaki River in Nepal. Ancient texts indicate that the idol of Badrinath was worshipped during the Satya Yuga Golden Age.

At Badrinath you must have a time of reflection and make a new heart filled with divine blessing to have a new start in heart and mind. Offer up your prayers and enjoy the Prasad. We also recommend that if you have enough time and energy after the worship you can visit Bhairav temple and enjoy the view.

After our beloved devotees offer up prayer and worship, you will be flying back to Dehradun.
