Overview

Embark the extraordinary journey with two Sacred Shrines

This is the journey that will  make your body and spirit alive. Isn’t it a great idea where you can experience the highest divine soul alignment with majestic trans himalayan views. The pilgrimage begins from the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh where River Ganga flows to the plains carrying prayers of millions of people. The pilgrimage route goes through the Garhwal Himalayas to Kedarnath Shrine. It is the home to one of the twelve Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva at 3583 meters. This is a place where the high mountains were once shattered yet remained untouched. The place where prayers of numerous people are offered and are accepted unconditionally on ancient rock. The pilgrimage reaches Badrinath, the home  of Lord Vishnu that welcomes all back into the universe from the arms of the magnificent Neelkanth Peak. and Finally, the devotees also get a chance to explore the vast vibrant forest and wildlife in Himalayas. You may find yourself descending from the Himalayan chain into the lush wild coniferous forests of Jim Corbett National Park. You will feel a drastic transition, a transition and you might be surprised why every pilgrim describes this moment so magical. This is the moment where every  pilgrim shares  wondrous moments of the entire pilgrimage journey.

This is a sacred journey, which holds very high value in hindu mythology, representing supreme cosmic forces. Starting from Kedarnath, it is not any mere location but indeed a destination, which will make you completely transformed as an individual. As you stand at the altitude of  3,583 meters you will be able to witness the two Iconic Himalayan Peaks that is Kedarnath Peak and Kedar Dome, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva will hit you hard with its presence and power to draw you in as if it were an actual person. Any pilgrim who has ever stood before this Divine Energy Source describes meeting this being in a manner far greater than that expressed through all religious beliefs. And then there is Badrinath, who represents an entire circle to make you complete. It is located at the altitude of 3,133 meters and along the shores of the Alaknanda River. And when you look another side you will see one of the peaks of Neelkanth reserved for lord Vishnu. Surely, the rich colors of red and gold will captivate your heart against the backdrop of dark grey and white. It is a celebration of nature amidst the starkness of this baronial landscape. You can feel the presence of the divine  Energy projected by Lord Badrinath leaves us in total stillness. Not only that, during your entire trip you will have the opportunity to stop in Guptakashi. This is the place where Lord Shiva took refuge from the Pandavas. You can spend some time at Tehri dam too, you will be mesmerised by the engineering that is done.

The Do Dham Yatra will take you to the nature’ wonderland. Starting from the winding mountain roads to river gorges, to the vast greenlands and much more. There are also some mythological facts related to it as well. In the ancient philosophical teachings of Shaivism and Vaishnavism, Lord Shiva is often seen as a rival to Lord Vishnu. But, both the deities are actually the reflections of the same reality. As per mythologies, Shiva is believed to represent the process of transformation, making a path for new developments. Whereas, Vishnu represents the love that preserves what is true and essential. You know, according to one of the greatest ancient texts named as Harivamsa shiva, Vishnu is recorded as one of the greatest devotees of one another, worshipping the other. Together they create a relationship of mutual reverence upon which the universe depends. One method to honour this relationship of complementarity is to take part in the Do Dham Yatra, a pilgrimage to two major shrines.

After an extra ordinary journey of Do Dham Yatra and spiritual cleansing, you will enter the Himalayan wilderness. It is indeed a sacred transition, and it holds different sacred values. The inhabitants themselves represent the shiva and vishnu. We will tell you now.The divine as represented by Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu represent the Bengal tiger, the ancient Sal forest and the Ramganga River. Well, undoubtedly both are amazing. You will see the ancient Sal trees, all around and you will get to hear the extraordinary beautiful songs of birds. As the Ramganga River flows through the grasslands below, it is also one of the major sources to provide the water to sustain the entire ecosystem of the park. The Ramganga River runs through the same mountain range that you have spent the last several days hiking, the Krishna Mountain Range in the Kumaon Himalayas. From Haridwar’s sacred river to the glacial summit of Kedarnath and Badrinath, to Jim corbetts’s magnificent forest. You will experience an entire circle of life staying from divinity, to spiritual transformation to complete nature in just a few days.  This cycle will provide you with transformation, completion, and the wild and beautiful aspect of gratitude that can come only from completing a journey that has given everything of itself as well as taking everything from you to achieve completion. We make sure to take care of every single details for you during your Do Dham Yatra. Such as transportation, accommodation, meals, guides and every form of assistance while you are on the ground. We understand that this journey is going to be a lifetime achievement for many devotees, seekers. We are committed to deliver that high divinity spirit, by making sure everything is well taken care of. The journey of the holy summit to a sacred jungle, including you trying out some special himalayan cuisines. it is all for you, well designed by our specialized expert team to assist you and to guide you during your trip.

Highlights

Haridwar and Rishikesh, the Holy Gateways

Every pilgrimage has a starting point and ending point, which often covers the gap between the ordinary and extraordinary points. This Do Dham yatra with Jim Corbett includes two famous holy towns as the starting point that is Haridwar and Rishikesh. Both are near to each other and next to the sacred river of Ganga. Haridwar is known as the Gateway to God and is one of the seven most sacred places for Hindus. It is also one of the oldest sacred inhabited places in the world. In Haridwar, you must experience the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, which has been performed every evening. Without a day skip, it is performed  continuously, for thousands of years. Not only that, it has a very deep soul touching impact on the people. Devotees wait for this moment, to experience this time. This is the time you can put your heart to rest and offer prayers with an ultimate view of thousands of earthen lamps floating in River Ganga. Next is Rishikesh, the yoga capital of India. It has attracted countless sages and seekers over centuries. People come here to experience deep contemplation. You must visit two suspension bridges, that is Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. It is one of the most wonderful experiences you will have, as walking on the suspension bridges over the green waters of the Ganga,. You will also witness some of the ancient ashrams rising from the tree-covered banks of Ganga on both sides. There is also a very interesting fact related to Haridwar being the site for the Kumbh Mela. which is the largest and oldest Mela / gathering of peaceful humanity on Earth. More than 70 million people gather here. Did you know that, the gate of Kumbh Mela, is determined by the precise positioning of Jupiter, the Sun, and the Moon through Vedic astronomers’ calculations.

Uttrakashi and Guptkashi, the northern Kashi’s

Uttrakashi is known as  the kashi of the north. It is one of the most beautiful places to experience and to live. Along with the bank of the Bhagirathi River you can experience spirituality. Bhagirathi River also happens to be an important Indian river flowing from the Gangotri glacier higher up the mountain range. You should also visit the Vishwanath temple, which is the largest Shiva temple in the region of Uttarakhand. Did you know that, the huge trishula is believed to have belonged to Goddess Durga and used by her during her fight against evil within the confines of that temple's courtyard. Also, Uttarkashi is home to the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, one of Asia's premier institutions for high-altitude climbing. All great climbers of India's Himalayan region can trace their roots back to this one school. Another is Guptakashi, which is known as the hidden Kashi, is another one of the most spiritually charged towns on the Kedarnath circuit. You must visit this temple before the main temple. The Vishwanath and Ardhnarishwar Temples are located in Guptkashi and rank as two of the most important religious sites found in the Garhwal region of India.

Kedarnath and Badrinath, the ultimate holy homes

Kedarnath is at 3583 meters, which is located in the vast glacial amphitheatre below Kedarnath Peak and Kedar Dome. It is also recognized as one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas. This magnificent mountain temple was built by the Pandavas and restored by Adi Shankaracharya. The pilgrims and devotees travel 16 km through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows; you will hear the chanting of "Har Har Mahadev" by hundreds and when it echoes around the mountain. Honestly, it sounds like one voice saying a prayer. And there is the final temple of your pilgrimage,  The temple at Badrinath sits at an elevation of 3133 meters. It is located on the sacred banks of River Alaknanda surrounded by the towering snow covered peaks of Neelkanth Peak also known as the Queen of Garhwal. This is the only temple in the whole himalayan valley dedicated to the lord Vishnu. Also, it has quite a meaningful history associated with it. According to one of Hindu legends: When Shiva built this valley, it was for the purpose of his personal place to meditate. He did not want to give up any part of the valley. But, as you know, love is the ultimate thing.  He loved Vishnu so unconditionally that he transcended all sense of donating it to Vishnu.

The epic transition from Himalayas to the Jim Corbett

After an extraordinary holy himalayan gateway, you will visit India's oldest national park established in 1936. That is Jim Corbett, it is home to more than 260 Bengal tigers, over 600 bird species and much more. You might feel a big translation from snow capped himalayan peaks to the Terai plains. Here is a little interesting fact about the Terrai ecosystem.  The Terai Region consists of the sal trees and tropical grasslands at the base of Himalayan foothills. And it is one of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. It is commonly referred to as the “lungs of the Himalayan foothills,” receiving the runoff water from the mountain ranges.
