All you need to do is, reach out to us and we will help you plan from the beginning till the end. A fully comfortable, relaxed and soul touching trip.

Here is a bit about the pilgrimage. The start of every unforgettable pilgrimage does not occur at the site of the temple but rather at that point of no return between the secular and sacred journey from time to eternity. Well, in this case of the pilgrimage Kedarnath Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra, that place is Dehradun. And here is why it is an ideal starting point. Dehradun is Situated at approximately 640 meters above sea level, it is located within the Doon Valley, nestled between the Himalayas to the north, and the Shivalik ranges to the south. This entire city is the home to natural beauty and a rich history. Regardless of whether you arrive by air, rail, or road our team will assist you and you with a helpful and warm transfer from the airport or train station to your hotel. Which will eventually help establish a warm tone in advance of the day's activities. You should start by visiting the Mahadev Temple, which is located just outside of Dehradun.  And it is majorly known for the natural spring flowing over a naturally formed Shivalinga. Well, it’s not necessary for you to visit, only if you have ample time prior to the flight briefing to make the pilgrimage to seek the blessings of Dehradun's own Shiva prior to beginning your pilgrimage to the most powerful residence of Shiva, Kedarnath and/or Badrinath. The Dehradun-Kedarnath have spiritual Connections Throughout the Ages. The City of Dehradun appears in both the great epics, The Ramayana and The Mahabharata, in addition to being the home of Sage Drona (teacher of the Pandava warriors) who established his ashram in Dehradun while creating the Kedarnath Temple as an atonement for his part in the Kurukshetra War after he received Lord Shiva's blessings. The City of Dehradun is the home of the creator of the Do Dham Yatra, which you begin tomorrow, and it is the home of Sage Drona who was the teacher of the warrior the combined grief and devotion created the holy site you are visiting. The city of Dehradun and the holy site of Kedarnath are connected by an unbroken thread of history that spans more than 3000 years.

Kedarnath,  at 3583 meters high, part of the huge glacial amphitheater below Kedarnath Peak and Kedar Dome, is home to Lord Shiva who lives here amongst the temple and the mountains, in the stone and air, in the centuries-old silence of the high mountain basin. Included amongst the 12 Jyotirlingas, the strongest physical expression of God's presence on Earth, built by the Pandavas and restored by Adi Shankaracharya, this temple survived completely unscathed throughout the destructive 2013 floods that devastated the surrounding area. This temple holds open that which needs to be opened, and it hears the utterances of all beings with such completeness that no human can duplicate it.

Badrinath is located at the elevation of 3133 meters above sea level. It is on the sacred and holy banks of Alaknanda River,  which is guarded by the beautiful snow-covered peak of Neelkanth. It is believed that this is where Lord Vishnu, the preserver of creation, sits in eternal peace and has complete and uninterrupted meditation over the valley that was given to him by Lord Shiva, as a pure expression of divine love. The only Vishnu temple located in the entire Himalayan range is Badrinath, and it calls attention to itself with its solid forms and its bright reds and golds contrasting against the grey-white backgrounds of all the huge mountains that surround it; truly, this temple is permanent public expression of the joy of the creator that can be seen by all.

It is going to be a mind blowing experience filled with peace and blessing. This will be indeed wholesome, you will be able to experience the totality of the Kedarnath Badrinath Yatra in just four days via helicopter from Dehradun, which starts and ends at the Sahastradhara Helipad.  It is one of the most practical and best-organized ways to  experience the entire itinerary without spending  many days on the mountain road or requiring physical exertion trekking 16 km to Kedarnath for anyone physically unable to do so. In this package you will have the VIP darshan and Jal Abhishek at both temples,  including two nights on the pilgrimage to allow you to integrate your experiences with Divinity into permanent forms rather than fleeting, inconsequential memories.

The Kedarnath Badrinath Yatra by Helicopter from Dehradun will be conducted at Kaushalya Trip India with the understanding that every pilgrim or devotee who presents themselves for this holy pilgrimage is entrusting Kaushalya with something beyond any ordinary mere monkey. Rather, we aim to make our precious devotees experience the two most celestial beings of the Garhwal Himalayas, the presence of fire, and the presence of peace, encompassing the entire sacred loop of the Do Dham. This spiritual journey is not just any other normal travelling but you will feel your soul gaining connection with divine beings.  Through this, Do Dham yatra is the journey that returns to something you never knew you were missing. It is one of the holiest journeys in existence, as you get to witness two most sought after Dhams, located along the twin shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath. Kedarnath and Badrinath have drawn seekers, saints, and wanderers for the past millennium.

Highlights

Dehradun is the most prominent and gracious entry point, leading the path to spiritual enlightenment. Also it  serves as the base manager's evening accommodation where you will receive the briefing about the entire pilgrimage which is curated very carefully and comprehensively to support both your logical thinking and emotions as you embark on your mountain adventure. Firstly, you will get the opportunity to visit the first phase of spiritual awakening starting from Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple. This temple visit provides an opening prayer at which you will worship Lord Shiva in this Taplekashwar cave.  This cave Lord Shiva has used to provide unbroken abhishek which means ceremonial pouring of the natural flowing spring water onto the shivalinga. The second phase will be the departure from the Sahastradhara Helipad at the beginning of Day Two providing the point at which you transit out of the everyday world and begin the Do Dham Yatra. As you move out from Dehradun, you might have this feeling that one world is ending and a new world is starting. The fact that the helipad is located near Sahastradhara, a well-known natural spring, reinforces the sacred symbolism of this departure. By leaving the spring, you will travel towards some of the most powerful sacred representations of divine beings located in the Himalayas.

Then comes the second chopper pitstop at Sersi/Phata in the Mandakini valley about 1,800 to 2,000 m. The Sersi/Phata side of the Mandakini River flows from the Chorabari glacier above the Kedarnath temple with all of its waters having already flowed by the feet of the Jyotirlinga above the river bed. As you wait for your next shuttle, you must remember that you are waiting at the feet of the temple of Lord Shiva. This helicopter ride from Sersi/Phata to Kedarnath represents one of the shortest  routes. And Yet,  most awe-inspiring helicopter rides anywhere in all of India. The Kedarnath helipad is at an elevation of  3,500 meters, is not only one of the highest operating helipads in India but also one of the busiest  during the period of the Kedarnath pilgrimage. The pilots who take you on this route are among the best trained  high-altitude aviators in the country. As you reach Kedarnath temple, you must offer Prayer, offering and perform jal abhishek on the Jyotirlinga. It is believed to be  the most personal and most intimate form of worship to Lord Shiva at one of his most powerful shrines in the Himalayas.

You will be guided through the entire sequence. As you follow the holy sequence while exploring the Kedarnath starting from the way to the temple to the actual temple area, you will feel a different kind of energy. From the way to the temple through the energy of the mountains, through the actual entry to the inner sanctum, through the Season of the Water Offering from the ancient stone under your hands to the light from the lamp over you and through the time spent in the temple area with the enormous Bheem Shila boulder and the steps to get into the Mandakini River.  The prayer of the pilgrim who returns to the sacred site before the Jyotirlinga where you can see many  true sacred flaming lights is the result of many prayers of devotees.  Did you know, there is an interesting fact associated with the leading shrine? Kedarnath temple is not built with mortar or with any combination which has a mixture of cement, sand or water. Yet it  holds together its massive stone blocks. This construction method has allowed the Kedarnath shrine to withstand the icy cold, harsh winters in higher Himalayas for over 12 centuries. Not only that, but it has also endured multiple earthquakes, and the recent 2013 flooding. Another spiritual interesting fact about the shrine is, before the winter comes and the temple  shuts down due to snow for 6 months. The priests light an Akhand Jyoti which is also known as eternal flame in  the inner sanctum of the shrine.  The flame remains lit at -20 degrees Celsius during blizzards, avalanches, and total isolation from human presence for hundreds of kilometers. When the temple opens in May, the Akhand Jyoti will be found still lit in flames. There has never been an exception to this.

After the last and final pilgrimage, you will witness the four-armed Badri Narayan of Badrinath Temple. A black a black Shaligram stone statue, in the folded knee position also known as the statue in eternal padmasana  with the half closed eye. This posture reflects the deep meditation pose. After you offer your worship and prayers, you can visit Mana village. Just a few kilometers almost directly below Tibet in India lies the ancient village of Mana, known by all who lived during the time when Mahabharata took place, and continues to have living geography evoking the Mahabharata through its ancient stones. You will be staying overnight at Badrinath.  It would be one of the best experiences you will ever have. In the evening Aarti after the day tourists leave the valley at night with the Neelkanth above and the Alaknanda below, and the first pre-dawn darshan for those who stay overnight at Badrinath.

The evening briefing conducted by our base manager is one of the most beneficial and important parts of the entire yatra. D 3
Sersi/Phata - Kedarnath - Badrinath
Kedarnath > Badrinath

After early morning breakfast, you will board your helicopter and depart from Badrinath. It takes approximately 30 minutes. And you will enjoy the view of Himalayan paradise. Starting from the Neelkanth Peak also known as Garhwal Queen rises 6,596 metres which is always covered by snow, rivers flowing down the valley. And amidst all these stunning views you will reach the Badrinath Temple which shines bright with red, green, and gold colours against the stark grey and white of the surrounding mountain peaks. From the helipad, the minimum distance you need to walk is just 500 meters, which is a comfortable walk for 10-15 minutes. Here as soon as you reach, we recommend you to visit and take a dip in Tapt kind before you enter the shrine.
Tapt kind is the natural hot spring at the bottom of the Badrinath Temple Complex. It flows with warm natural flowing water at approximately 45°C, regardless of how cold it gets at this high altitude. And there is a belief that this spring was blessed by Lord Agni, the god of fire.
The idol at the Badrinath Temple is believed to be Swayambhu which means self-manifested. Which means, it is believed that the idol of Badri Narayan is not made by human hands. Also, another fun factor about the idol is that the black Shaligram stone by which Lord Badrinarayan idol is made, is only found in the Gandaki River in Nepal. Sounds quite mysterious right? Well that’s the power and influence of spiritual air. Overnight stay at Badrinath.
